Job Description
- Make reservations or appointments for guests who want to avail themselves of local entertainment or services
- Answer guest calls and record details of each conversation for future follow up
- Meet and exceed guests' expectations by anticipating the services they might require and suggesting local venues
- Maintain constant communication with guests in advance of special events
Report any accidents or injuries to senior management staff immediately

Achievements
During my internship I was able to meet several guests who work in this field for future references. My hourly rate is $9.75. In addition, I am able to stay at any Marriott property at a reduced cost rate. I am able to let my family and friends use this perk as well. For the future, I can transfer to a different Marriott property for employment. I am able to advance further and easily work my way up.

After this internship, I learned the external and internal aspects that occur in the hotel industry. The Courtyard by Marriott specifically is a "select-service" hotel. Meaning it is catered for mainly business travelers. For our specific target market, we have free printing, computers, and comfortable chairs and desks in the lobby. I also learned that the Director of Sales is in charge of all of the Events associated within the hotel. The Sales Coordinator is in charge of helping the Director of Sales by organizing information given by the guests. Upon graduation, I hope to work in the Sales Department of a Full Service Hotel.
